This wasn't at all what I had expected, so I didn't finish it (read about half of it). It was hard to stay concentrated while reading, for some reason.
There were, however, a few things that made me think about what I would have done if I'd had to translate the book. I'm glad I won't have to solve those problems :-)

Captured this book in telephone library Feering green on Feb 15th.
Not sure I would enjoy the format/style....but I found I could not put it down!
As well as the detective /thriller/ true storyline I found the references to literature and writers of the era the book is set in realy insightful. Tracking the history of the detective as a real as well as a literary subject was also interesting to follow.
I will probably re-read or at least dip in and out before I release this excellent read!
